My First Collection

After completing my Inspiration book for class, I revived a bit of my love for steampunk. But this isn't a costume class, so the challenge was set for me to make a sports wear collection that was functional and yet still held the element of some Steampunk.

I'm not sure it came across. I think it's leaning a bit more towards the menswear for women look, or an equestrian chic.

I took a pose from a magazine, mapped out her action lines, stretched her to the proper 10-head length of a fashion illustration and created croquis, of which I laid tracing paper over to design my outfits.

It was the first time in years that I'd worked with colored pencils as well, that was quite fun.
